Round the corner, not far away, I’ve been sewing a bunny today.

It is one of those rare and blissful Sunday afternoons that affords us a family nap and since both of the men in my life are still fast asleep, here is a quick post with my latest creation.

Niece no.1 is Bing mad and I love any excuse to make for her. A recent glance through my felt supplies while making some half-hearted-and-constantly-interrupted attempt at organising my craft supplies gave me an idea.

Any parents out there for whom Cbeebies offers a much needed lifeline (especially right now) may recognise this little character. This is my take on Bing’s cuddly toy companion; not Flop – whatever strange non-threatening parnetal figure he is supposed to be, but Hoppity Voosh.

He is partly machine sewn and partly hand sewn using sheets of felt. I didn’t use a pattern as he’s quite simple really and it was quite easy to go by eye.

I’m really looking forward to popping him in the post to my niece very soon (provided I can keep him away from my little man who has taken quite a shine to him) along with some other goodies so that she and Hoppity can have some adventures together.
